Membership

Membership of The Society is open to individuals from all parts of the world, with interests in any area of carotenoid science.

At the inauguration of The Society in August, 1996 all participants at the 11th International Symposium on Carotenoids held in Leiden, together with participants at the 10th International Symposium on Carotenoids, held in Trondheim, 1993, were automatically admitted to membership.

Since then, membership has been extended to members of the Japan Branch, and of CARIG, and to participants of the Gordon Research Conferences on Carotenoids, as well as to a number of individuals who have made personal application.

In addition to the above, who are all listed in the Members Directory (accessible only by other members of the Society), anyone with an interest in carotenoids is cordially invited to apply for membership.

To apply for membership in the Society, click on the "Members" button on the left. MEMBERSHIP IS FREE at this time. Policy on membership fees is under discussion along with other aspects of the organization and constitution of the Society.
